YOUNG entrepreneurs at Hugh Sexey Middle School in Wedmore have hit the airwaves after starting their own radio station.
Year 7 students Aiden, Alyssa, Finn, Tom and Sam have launched the station and now broadcast to the school on Friday lunch breaks from the science lab.
Aiden and Tom originally started their station from home – Eastbrentlive.wix.com/eastbrentlive – using a live-stream website.
But they have put this on temporary hold while they work on their new project at school.
School secretary Jo Farmer said: “The station has become a very popular event on a Friday for all staff and pupils joining in with the banter, requests for music and even karaoke.”
