A KNITTING event at Burnham’s Marine Cove gardens proved popular with visitors.
The event marked Worldwide Knit in Public Week, which encourages people to take up the art of knitting and crochet in public.
Knitters flexed their needles and enjoyed four hours of fun at Marine Cove on Saturday.
The event was organised by Burnham community knitting group Yarn Over, who meet at The Princess Theatre.
The group approached Sedgemoor District Council’s community gardener Jacqui Strong to use the area for the event.
Jacqui said: “Sedgemoor District Council are pleased to see the gardens being used, particularly for this novel and inventive event!”
