  • A SINGLE vehicle collision has closed the A39 between B3190 (Washford Cross, Washford) and A358 Bank Street (Williton).
  • Police are advising anyone coming from Minehead to use the A358 to Taunton and those coming off the motorway to continue to Taunton.

A vehicle has gone into a ditch.

The incident has been ongoing since about 14:20.

Emergency services are at the scene and delays are expected.

"Driver reported for no licence" according to one of the tweets, which means no valid insurance either. He/she ought to be billed by the emergency services for their time! It's just fortunate that no other vehicles were involved.

Accident had nothing to do with whether dricer had licence or not. Was to do with the slippery road surface. The car driving behind almost went the same way and so did a lorry. If it werent 2 men at the scene slowing the traffic down many more would have gone down there too!
