BURNHAM’S own world BMX Champion, Liam Phillips, has donated a signed World Champion jersey and his domestic racing top for a charity auction.
A bike ride and charity barbecue is being held on Sunday, June 29 at the Red Cow in Brent Knoll from 11am, in memory of Chris Evans who died after losing his three-year battle with a lung condition.
Starting from the Red Cow, riders will complete a 25-mile round trip to Catcott and back to the Red Cow for a well-deserved barbecue.
The auction will take place in the gardens of the Red Cow and donations will go to the British Lung Foundation.
Tickets can be purchased from the Red Cow or Post Office, Brent Knoll and cost £10 per adult and £6 for a child.
The Chris Evans Bike Ride and Barbecue is in its third year and has raised more than £3,000 for the British Lung Foundation.
