PARENTS went back to the classroom at Robert Blake Science College as they joined their children for English and Science lessons.

Robert Blake run ‘Family Learning Days’ for the families of each year group where parents and relative have the opportunity to come in and learn alongside their child.

The school finds this helps strengthen the links with parents and also encourages parents to get even more involved in their child’s education.

Gregg Morrison, deputy head teacher, said: “The Family Learning Day is a great opportunity for the Year Nine students to show off to their families how proud they are of their learning and of their school.

“The relationship between the school and home is so important and we want to do everything we can to support our students with their learning”.
