Bridgwater Mayor's memorial restored
THE original memorial to former Mayor William Thomas Holland has been restored.
Friends of Wembdon Road Cemetery chairman Miles Peterson said Mr Holland’s original memorial was discovered by chance when the Friends cleared brambles.
The marble slab has now been restored thanks to ward councillor Gill Slocombe and a rededication service was held with group members and dignitaries.
Fine Memorials of Bridgwater carried out the work.
