Seagull rescue causing traffic chaos in central Taunton

SHOPPERS were jubilant when the crew rescued the seagull and expressed their delight:
THE RSPCA were on hand to take the seagull and help it recover.
THERE was a round of applause after the seagull had been rescued.
Shopper Lizzie Tiller said: "I was in Marks and Spencers getting some Euros and when I came out there was a fire engine and loads of people around.
"I'm glad they rescued the seagull, it looked dead for a while because it had stopped moving."

The seagull was trapped above Halifax in East Reach, Taunton.
A SPOKESPERSON from the Somerset and Devon Fire and Rescue Service said: "We recieved a call from the RSPCA just before 12pm to ask if we could have some assistance to rescue a seagull that had been trapped for around 24 hours.

TRAFFIC has ground to a halt in Taunton's East Street due to efforts to rescue sea gull trapped above Marks & Spencers.
