CREATURES great and small attended a pet service at Rodhuish on Sunday.
Cats, dogs, sheep and even horses attended with their owners to receive a special blessing outside the chapel, followed by ice cream.
Organiser Sam Westmacott said: “It was a really lovely day and it was wonderful to see so many people come together to celebrate their pets.
“There was such a community feel to the day – it felt more like something from the 18th Century.
“People came from far and wide, and everyone said how enjoyable it was. “Animals are so important – they’re always there for you, and give you such love and respect.”
