TRANSPORT Secretary Patrick McLoughlin has visited Taunton Station today (Thursday, June 12) to view the site of a proposed £4,6million development.
He heard of proposals to switch the main entrance to the Firepool side, with passenger facilities, a multi-storey car park, a public transport interchange and commercial, residential and retail premises.
Leafy boulevards would lead passengers via a Riviera-style riverside to the town centre, passing through Firepool.
