INTREPID young people who braved the high ropes in Taunton’s Vivary Park at the weekend helped raise £106.52 for the Think Amy campaign to promote safe and considerate driving.

Owners Tone donated 20% of their takings to the initiative, as did Ed Cullen from a barbecue he operated.

Jane Hofmeister, who started the campaign after her 13-year-old daughter Amy was killed when she was hit by a car racing along Blackbrook Way, said: “A big thank you to everyone who went up on the high ropes and who helped on the day despite the rain.”
