POLICE are seeking witnesses to an assault in Yeovil last Tuesday (June 3).

At 8.15pm a man was walking along Sherborne Road towards the town centre when another man overtook him near to the junction with Lyde Road. The victim was punched in the arm by the man and left with a puncture wound and bruising.

The victim described the offender as being 5’7” to 6’ tall with a skinny build and in his late teens or early 20s. He was wearing a black hooded top with its hood up, blue jeans and red trainers.

The assault is being investigated and we’d like to hear from anyone who saw what happened or has information about the person responsible. If you can help please call us on 101 and quote 57626/14.
