PICTURED are members of the King’s Hall School choir, who took part in a spectacular musical event at Exeter Cathedral.

The ‘Songs for All Seasons’ concert saw a dozen prep schools from around the South-West unite to give a wonderful showcase of musical talent.

The genre of music chosen was folk, with all of the songs telling a tale for each month of the year.

The majority of songs originated in the West Country and included pieces written by contemporary artists as well as traditional tunes from as early as the 13th century.

The King’s Hall School ensemble included vocals, cello, violins and flutes.

Oliver Biggs sang in the event and also had his poem about spring chosen to represent King’s Hall School in an inter-school competition as part of the IAPS project.

The children also had a wonderful opportunity to work with Steve Knightley, a member of the famous Devon folk band ‘Show of Hands’.
