A FREE outdoor exploration event will give children the chance to hone their survival skills in the wilds of…. Bridgwater.
The Bridgwater Way Project (TBW) is hosting ‘Explore’, based from Browne’s Pond in Hamp, on June 21.
It takes participants on a short walk with free activities along the way.
Somerset County Councillor Harvey Siggs, Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport, said: “Discover the activities while exploring the areas where new cycle and walking routes will soon be constructed as part of The Bridgwater Way project.”
Den-building and survival skills are already guaranteed activities and TBW organisers are seeking votes to decide the other two activities being offered at the event.
Voting (by June 14) is via The Bridgwater Way facebook site, facebook.com/TheBridgwaterWay, and the options include Search and Rescue, Nature spotting, Letter-boxing and Woodland craft.
‘Explore’ runs from 11.30am to 3.30pm and starts at Browne’s Pond, just off Elmwood Avenue, behind Morrisons.
