CRIME dropped by one-third in Burnham in the first three months of the year, police figures show.
However, Highbridge has seen little to no change in the amount of crime in that time, meaning it has become a greater hotbed for crime than Burnham.
Early figures for 2014 show Burnham saw a 34% decrease in reported crime from January to March, compared to the same three months in 2013, while Highbridge crime report figures remained largely the same.
From January to March, 2013, a total of 222 crimes were reported in Burnham, compared to only 147 in the same period in 2014.
In that same time the number of crimes reported in Highbridge has remained largely the same, from 188 reported in 2013 to 174 in 2014.
