FOODIES from across Sedgemoor braved the wet weather on Saturday to attend a huge food festival.

Crowds of people donned wellies and umbrellas to try a host of treats which were on offer at Burnham Food and Drink Festival.

The eight-hour event included over 80 stalls selling the finest South West produce and displays and demonstrations by chefs and food producers.

Even the outdoor market in the town’s Victoria Street, College Street and Princess Street was well supported, with more packed stalls remaining busy at the Baptist Hall, Methodist Church and Princess Theatre.

Like previous years, many stalls had sold out of stock by the afternoon.

The next food festival will be held in October.
