CHARDSTOCK Community and Village Hall are hosting a Barn Dance featuring popular band “Long Odds and Short Straws” plus their caller, on Friday, June 6, 7.30pm-10.30pm in aid of Ferne Animal Sanctuary’s “New Digs For Dogs” £1m project.

Amanda Park, “New Digs For Dogs” Administrator said: “This event is going to be great fun. And, to add even more enjoyment to the evening, Freddie Ferne, Ferne Animal Sanctuary’s mascot will be making his barn dancing debut at the event – that’ll be a sight for everyone to see! Everyone at Ferne Animal Sanctuary is so grateful to the organisers, Steve and Olive Mitchell.”

A “Bring and Share” supper and soft drinks will be available. Tickets are £5 for an adult, £2 for a child, available from Ferne Animal Sanctuary, Chardstock Village Shop or by calling Steve and Olive on 01460 30539. Everyone is very welcome.
