AN Ilminster-based charity is encouraging people to tackle a trek around the area this summer to raised money.
Purple Field Productions makes films with and for some of the poorest countries in the world.
To celebrate its tenth anniversary it is holding a film festival in Malawi this summer and starting a film drama to fight the stigma with cerebral palsy in Kenya.
To raise money for the movie and two more backpack films, it is holding a sponsored 10km ‘Trek for Africa’.
The are hoping people could manage 10km either by bike or walking to replicate the distance some people have to walk for water each day.
