A YOUNG girl proved she was a cut above as she got her hair chopped off for the first time to help a friend.

Freya Enright, aged five, lost 11 inches of her long locks during a fundraising mission at Asda Taunton to coin in £5,000.

She is fundraising to help her five-year-old friend Georgia, who has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, go to Glasgow for treatment.
