A TOTAL of £70,000 is available to be handed out in grants this financial year in Sedgemoor.
Small Grants up to £500 are aimed at individuals to undertake projects such as volunteering or learning new skills of benefit to their community.
They can also assist with individuals involved in the arts and regional or national sports competition.
Applicants must live in Sedgemoor.
Project Grants are one-off grants, up to £2,500, aimed at supporting voluntary, community and not-forprofit organisations on projects that support people living in the district.
Decisions on grants are made by the Grants Award Sub-Committee, which meets around every six weeks.
The first meeting will be on June 17 and the application deadline is May 30.
