CHILDREN at Greenfylde First School in Ilminster enjoyed an activities day when members of Premier Sport visited.
Sports included fencing, basketball and a ‘Golden Mile’ running event.
Deputy head teacher Phil Smith said: “The children really enjoyed the fencing and it’s something they haven’t encountered before. A few pupils were a bit nervous going into it but in the end they loved it and some have said they would like to take it up regularly.
“The sports day was made available through the PE grant. We are now enhancing the activities we do and this is just one of the events we hope to be running at the school.”
