A STUDENT from Bridgwater made it through a vigorous interview and selection process to be chosen for a six-month training course.
Claire Flower was picked as the next student of the the Future Farming Academy at Bridgwater College.
Claire, who studies agricultural management, will complete two three-month, in-depth industry placements, receive management and marketing training, and go on fortnightly industry visits as part of her qualification.
The project is a collaborative effort run by leading agricultural organisations and local companies across the South-West.
Claire said: “I’m very thankful to be given this opportunity to learn more about agriculture and good management techniques.
“I intend to gain as much as I can from this experience to help me move closer to my aspiration of being a farm manager and eventually own my own farm.”
