AS the 2014 season gets underway, Taunton Cricket Club has unveiled Cooper Associates as its main sponsor.

Announcing the link-up with the award winning financial advisory business, club chairman Jon Kerslake said: “Cooper Associates has established a very strong client-base and a reputation for providing financial advice of the highest quality.

“It's a company that's clearly moving in the right direction, which is exactly what our club is striving to achieve.”

Cooper Associates already has strong links with the local cricketing community, with former Somerset gloveman Carl Gazzard a member of the staff, and current England starlet Jos Buttler using the company's services.

And Taunton's new club captain is none other than Jack Cooper, an independent mortgage adviser within the firm.

Completing the connections is Jack's brother, Lee, a recent first team skipper and chief executive of Cooper Associates.

Lee added: “We are very pleased to support a local sports team like Taunton Cricket Club, which relies on the time and effort of a relatively small band of unpaid volunteers, and which provides valuable opportunities to many young and aspiring cricketers through a thriving junior section.

“We wish the club every success in 2014, both on and off the pitch, and hope that this will be the start of a long and happy relationship with Cooper Associates.”
