POLICE in Burnham are appealing for the public’s help to locate an eye-catching customised Harley Davidson motorbike, stolen from the Cheddar Gorge area.

The striking black and white bike was taken on Saturday, May 3, at about 6.45pm. It was parked in a lay-by area just above the last tourist shop and cave in the gorge.

The bike was parked with others and secured in the same way. The riders were only away from the bike for a short period.

The bike stolen is a unique, customised machine. Its number plate is X37 DCA.

A police spokesman said: “We believe there may have been a number of people in the area at the time of the incident that may have information to help our enquiries.

“We would also appeal to motorcycle dealers to be on the lookout for the bike.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at Burnham on the force number 101, quoting the reference 44098/14.
