BURNHAM Food and Drink festival has revealed an exclusive sweet treat for 2014.
Organisers are celebrating the festival’s seaside location this May with a giveaway of striped candy rock.
Festival director Sarah Milner Simonds said: “It seemed an obvious choice - we think the festival rocks and what is more seaside than a souvenir stick of striped rock?”
The red and white cider flavoured striped rock, which has BoS Foodfest running through it, has been made and donated to the festival by local confectioner, The Sweet Shack.
Owner Kirstie Isom said: “We are pleased to be able to support the BOS Food Festival.
“We are very grateful to the organisers, as events such as this draw more people to the town and help promote our fellow local traders and producers.”
Visitors to the Methodist Church in College Street will be able to get their own stick of BoS Foodfest rock on Saturday, May 24 from 9am. Festival marshals will be giving away 500 to festival visitors; one per person, while stocks last.
