BARISTAS at Burnham’s Costa Coffee have celebrated the store’s one-year anniversary by raising cash for charity.
The team have already held fundraisers in aid of the National Autistic Society to mark Autism awareness month, but wanted to do something unusual to coincide with the store’s anniversary.
Staff member Alice Kidner painted herself blue and donned a Smurf outfit, while other staff dressed in blue, with the classic white hats.
Manager Kate Mayes said: “We’ve raised £230 so far for the charity, including a previous fundraising event this month on April 2 where we wore Onsies.
“We know people who have children with autism and we wanted to help raise money for the National Autistic Society.
“I’d like to thank our loyal and generous customers for their continued support.”
