A TEAM from Bridgwater of players with learning difficulties and disabilities finished runners-up at the end of their first league season.
The FC 1610 football team lost just one game for the whole of the season, winning seven games and drawing two to secure second spot in division two of the Somerset F.A. Ability Counts League.
Manager Andrew Evans said: “The players have great fun whether playing in a game or attending weekly training sessions and we are looking to encourage more players to join.
“Since we launched FC 1610 we have now built the squad to up to around a dozen players and we would like to see even more join.”
