Kilve Village Hall Jubilee Garden almost complete

First published in News

WORK is almost complete on the Jubilee Garden, at Kilve village hall after 18 months of planning and fundraising.

The rear garden is being transformed from an unused grassy slope into a social space with disabled access to a walled patio with seating which will be surrounded by bee and insect friendly planting.

The project has received £450 from the Magnox Socio-Economic fund to pay for retaining walls for the disabled access path, Alison Eyley, chair of Kilve village hall, said: “We’re very grateful for their generosity.

“The path and patio are complete and available to use.

“Planting the garden has been delayed due to the dreadful wet weather, but the first plans are now in situ and the garden should be fully planted by the end of May.

“We look forward to a warm and sunny summer so local residents and visitors to Kilve can fully enjoy this transformed outdoor space.”
