BUILDING work is well underway on a new doctors’ surgery in Woolavington.
The building at Crockers Hill will complement the existing Edington Surgery and is due to be completed later this year, ready to open to patients in January, 2015.
The foundations are nearly complete and block work is starting.
Final touches are being put to the Surgery Travel Plan to encourage the use of public transport, cycling and walking to the practice where health permits.
BAE Systems has selected R.K. Bell as the highways contractor to build a new road into the site.
The final mix of works will involve carrying out the Section 106 package of highways improvements along Woolavington Road, which will include a temporary road closure in mid-July.
