THE agricultural team at Bridgwater College’s Cannington centre invited apprentices and employers to a lunch to mark the start of National Apprenticeship Week.
Apprentices had a chance to network with current and potential employers and speak with the College’s agricultural apprenticeship staff.
After the lunch both students and staff got the opportunity to test drive the new tractors provided by Hawkins Agri of Bridgwater.
Mark Nash, apprenticeship trainer and assessor, said: “The lunch was a really useful exercise, and gave everyone the chance to share ideas.
“It was also very heartening to see both employers and students learning and discovering new things together. We are looking forward to hosting the event again next year.”
