POLITCALLY minded children from St Mary's Primary School were given the chance to voice their opinions at the Somerset Children's Parliament.
The children presented their idea, 'Hydrate to Educate', which was based on drinking more water to keep your brain active and ready to learn.
The project involved the children interviewing pupils, parents and staff, leading assemblies and introducing the school to a Fluid Intake Matrix to help everyone understand the importance of staying hydrated.
Seven other schools competed against the future leaders at St Mary's School, but they impressed the judges so much that the Bridgwater children were declared the winners.
The dedicated and convincing debaters from St Mary's received the top prize, which is a trip to the Eden Project in Cornwall.
