PEOPLE with bright ideas on how to improve the community in Woolavington and Puriton have the chance to receive a £500 grant to see their idea realised.

Each person will be asked to present their ideas to a panel where they have a chance to compete for a share of the £5,000 available, granted to the villages by the Big Lottery Fund.

The panel will ask the applicants questions, and then at the end of the night the residents of Woolavington and Puriton will be able to vote on which proposals will most benefit the villages.

Emma Britton from BBC Somerset will compére the The Small Grants Decision Day, which will include a free buffet supper served at the event.

The event will be on May 23 at the 37 Sports and Social Club between Woolavington and Puriton and is set to start at 6pm.
