FINAL tickets for veteran rocker Rod Stewart’s Taunton concert go on sale at 10am today (April 25).

A small batch of tickets for the County Ground gig on June 18 has been released and will be available to snap up from 10am from www.ticketline.co.uk

More than 14,000 tickets were taken up by fans within 72 hours of going on sale.

Rod announced in November that he would undertake a five-date outdoor tour of the UK, including Somerset County Cricket Club.

He said: “I cannot wait to get back on the road and perform to fans across the UK. Performing is what I love to do and the fans always make it very special for me.

"This tour is an opportunity to perform some of my new material as well as old favourites – it’s going to be fantastic.”

Gillian Donaldson of LCC Live, the concert promoter, said: “We’ve been working hard to make as many tickets available to fans as possible, and are delighted to be in a position to release a final allocation of tickets.”

The concert will help raise awareness and charitable funds for St Margaret’s Hospice.

Jon Andrewes, chief executive of St Margaret’s Hospice, said: “This extra allocation of tickets is great news for fans who missed out on a ticket the first time around, as well as for the hospice.

"This concert is helping us raise awareness of our services as well as raise funds to ensure we can deliver much needed support to those in the local area with life limiting conditions.”
