Tributes paid to Taunton crash victim Jessica White
MOVING tributes have been paid to a “lovely” and “incredibly popular” young woman who died after a car crash in Taunton.
Jessica White, 23, an events coordinator at Taunton’s Holiday Inn, died from her injuries after the car she was driving hit a wall in Wellington Road last Friday (April 18).
Her mother, Sharon Evans, posted a tribute on her daughter’s Facebook page.
She said: “I love you so very much and I'm so very proud of everything you ever achieved in life.
“I cannot and do not want to believe you have gone my very precious Jess (jellybaby).”
She also said: “You will never be forgotten and the love will never die.
“I'm so stunned and feel so empty I really don't know what to say. I love you more than words could ever express.”
Floral tributes from friends and family have been left by the scene of the accident; there was also a minute’s silence before the start of Taunton Sunday League side Blue Park Rangers’ final football match of the season, with the players wearing black armbands as a mark of respect during their game against Williton.
Kieran Conway, who played a part in Rangers’ victory at Priorswood Park, posted a comment on Jessica’s profile with a picture of his ‘Division 3 Winners’ trophy.
He said: “Three Conway brothers score. Such an honour to score in front of Jess White’s family & friends.”
Chris Freer, general manager at the Holiday Inn where Jessica worked said: “Jess was a lovely girl who approached everything she did at work with great enthusiasm and such a positive frame of mind.
“Although only here for a relatively short time, Jess was incredibly popular and will be missed very much by everyone at the Holiday Inn Taunton.”
Police are asking for any witnesses to Friday’s collision, which happened at 12.45am, to contact them on 101.
