MARTOCK Brownies took part in an adventure-packed weekend at Barrington village hall to celebrate their 100th birthday.

A variety of workshops gave the girls opportunities to get creative in the kitchen with butterfly cakes or crafty with their art, storing finished works in self-decorated recyclable bags.

Birds of prey expert Sharon King, of Chard, introduced a European eagle owl, an American kestrel, a harris hawk, a barn owl and a tawny owl to the Brownies.

The youngsters also played with puppets and then the Martock Christian Fellowship performed songs for them.
