Cow rescued from mud in Pawlett river bank drama
A STRANDED cow was pulled from mud on a river bank in an hour-long rescue operation.
The drama unfolded at Pawlett Hams shortly after 6.10pm today (April 10).
Fire crews were alerted to the situation and found the cow stuck in mud on a river bank.
It was finally freed at 7.30pm using rope, strops and lines, firefighters said.
