UNPAID carers across Somerset are invited to influence the way services that are designed to assist them are run at a conference on May 1.
A Carers’ Conference is being held by Compass Carers, a specialist team from Compass Disability Services, from 10am to 4pm at Canalside Conference Venue in Huntworth.
There will be presentations from industry leaders and members of Somerset County Council, as well as personal stories from carers in Somerset.
A lunch will follow the presentations and in the afternoon a series of workshops will take place to allow carers to have their say on the Somerset Carers Strategy, which is being re-written by Somerset County Council.
Anyone interested in the work and support of unpaid carers is invited to attend.
To book a seat at the event, call Kevin Tarr on 01823-255911 or email kevin@compassdisability.org.uk
