WEST Somerset residents joining the campaign to reopen Minehead's MIU unit at night time still have time to sign the petition.
The unit was closed by health bosses until August and residents fear that with no nearby services over night, their lives are at risk.
On Tuesday (April 1) a public meeting was held in Minehead with over 300 attendees and representatives from the Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group, Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust ans the South West Ambulance Service.
Hotelier Bryan Leaker organised the petition which reads: "We the undersigned wish to see the Minehead Minor Injuries open at night NOW and improved ambulance support throughout West Somerset to stop a healthcare lottery."
Minehead residents Fay Dyke and Siobhan Hutchings are helping to make sure everyone has access to copies.
Petitions can be collected and dropped off at Best Friends Pet Supplies in the town.
Fay said: "If people are able to print out five double sided copies that would really help us.
"Siobhan and I will do our best to make sure there are copies available for everyone."
- The date to get your petitions back is April 30.
