NICOLA McGrath’s parents and husband have been doing their bit to ensure she gets around the London Marathon on April 13.
Mum Irene Monk and Nicola’s husband Chris have been doing extra babysitting shifts while she goes training four days a week.
And her dad, super fit former Royal Marine Sean Monk, has been pushing her to the limit on the roads around her home in Taunton.
Nicola is raising money for VICTA, which supports blind and partially sighted children, in memory of her cousin, Tilly Riddell, who had aniridia, a condition where there is incomplete formation of the iris.
Tilly died suddenly aged 3½ in February 2005, but her family have always been grateful for the support offered by VICTA.
Nicola has so far raised £3,000 for VICTA through a number of runs and her friend Melissa Chalmers helped boost the total at a bag packing event at Tesco last Saturday.
