MANAGER Paul Blandford and coach Lee Faircloth led Amesbury Youth under 16s, pictured, to the Testway Youth League title.

The championship was won in their last game of the season after seeing off Ludgershall in a must-win match. And any doubt was put to bed by Ryan Stapley’s hat-trick, two from Nathan Donaghy and Brad Botha’s strike which complimented a six nil thrashing.

Shrewton under 14s clawed back a two-goal deficit to chalk up a third win in a row at Wootton Bassett.

Ryan-McShane Thomas and Brennan Knowles put the visitors on level terms after the break, before skipper Jake Watson fired home the winner from Jacob Slater’s perfect corner for a 3-2 win.

Tony Francis, head coach, said: “I was delighted with the whole squad who all contributed to this excellent performance in North Wilts League Division 1.”

The home to Conference Premier boys Salisbury City is where the under 11s and 10s from Sarum Youth will be visiting.

A triumphant showing at South Wilts Youth and Minor League Cup semi-finals earned their places at the finals day at the Ray Mac.

A brace from Ryan Street and strike from man-of-thematch Dylan Fulford secured a 3-1 win for the under 11s over Alderbury Warriors, while Ollie Brunton struck twice, with David Offer and Dylan Tunney also on target, in the under 10s’ 4-2 success against Bemerton Heath Harlequins.

Alderbury Ladies’ thriving team is in need of a manager.
