SUPPORT to help businesses and communities get up to speed on superfast broadband will be rolled out across the county.
Connecting Devon and Somerset, which is responsible for the £94million infrastructure project to bring superfast broadband to rural Somerset, will bring high-speed fibre broadband to at least 90% of premises by the end of 2016 with speeds of at least 2Mbps for all.
Six towns and villages in South Somerset, including Horton, Barrington, Ilminster, Broadway, Dowlish Wake and Kingstone, are among 25 communities, and 70,000 homes and businesses, set to receive the broadband by the end of July.
