All smiles as Langford Budville celebrates OFSTED report
STAFF and pupils at Langford Budville Primary School are celebrating their latest OFSTED report.
The school has been judged as ‘good’ and head teacher Keith Sharpe says the findings reflect the good work being achieved in the school.
He said: “This small school on the outskirts of Wellington achieves very good results with the children, and not just academically.
“It’s also about the whole child and the report reflects the ach-ievements of all.
“I’m very pleased with the qua-lity of teaching and the attainment of the children.”
The report highlights many positives, saying reception children “get off to a good start”, and adds that Mr Sharpe and the staff have “created a caring and position school ethos for pupils to learn and develop.”
It also mentions the role of teachers, highlighting the “challenging and stimulating” tasks they set the school’s 36 pupils.
Mr Sharpe said: “Everyone at the school is thrilled with the report and we feel it accurately represents what the school is achieving.
“While it’s a small school it’s doing a very good job providing good education and support for the pupils.”
Parents have also expressed their delight at the latest OFSTED findings.
Phil Humble said: “This is fantastic news for the school.
“I've also felt the teaching was really good and this just goes to show it.
“It’s such a warm, friendly school which all the children really enjoy attending.”
