A 70-METRE stretch of road in Ilminster remains closed as highways bosses continue to monitor huge cracks along the route.
New Road, on the northern edge of the town, known as Cemetery Hill, has been closed for around three weeks amid fears that it could fall down a slope.
Home owners are also concerned that their properties could face a landslip.
Somerset County Council said the cracks are being monitored closely and say there has been more movement on the road surface.
The road will remain closed until it safe to remain but the council say they can’t put a timeframe on that at the moment.
