A HORSE was rescued from a ditch in Pawlett this afternoon (March 11).
The Fire Service received a call to a horse stuck in a water filled ditch at Stretcholt Lane, Stretcholt, at around 3.40pm.
One fire crew from Burnham and the specialist rescue vehicle from Bridgwater attended.
The horse was rescued by fire crews using knots and lines and returned to the care of its owner who was arranging a vet to attend.
