BUDDING chef Gemma Staple got a surprise visit from Taunton Deane MP Jeremy Browne as part of National Apprenticeship Week.
Gemma, Somerset College apprentice, is working in the kitchens at Castle Hotel in Taunton.
Mr Browne said: “Apprenticeships are an ideal way for young people to learn about a profession and establish themselves in the workplace.
“Gemma has clearly found her vocation in life and it was great to see such a successful example of an apprenticeship scheme working out for a young person.”
