ONE man was cut out of a hedge and airlifted to hospital after his motorcycle crashed this afternoon (March 8).
The incident happened at Wheddon Cross in Cutcombe at around 3.30pm with police officers calling out the fire brigade so they could reach the casualty.
A Devon and Somerset Fire Service spokesman said: "An appliance from Minehead was mobilised and on arrival requested the attendance of the rescue tender from Taunton for their access platform to help to gain access to the casualty.
"Crews went to work cutting away the hedgerow to gain access to the casualty. An ambulance and air ambulance were also in attendance and fire crews worked alongside paramedics to rescue the casualty from the hedgerow."
