POLICE have been working with residents in Hamp this week.
PCSO Sarah England, who covers the Hamp area, has been leading a scheme to encourage residents to come forward and report issues to the police.
Yarlington Housing Group visited Manley Gardens with the community beat team offering help and advice with their housing officer to the residents there.
Hamp Children’s Centre has also been working with the beat team with their community bus, engaging with people on the estate and at Lakeside Caravan Park.
PCSO England added: “It acts as a great link to the community and we have also been fortunate to be able to use a translator to help reach out and communicate with some ethnic families that now live on the estate.
“I hope families now feel less isolated and encouraged to engage with police and children are more aware of how they can get involved in local activities.”
