GENEROUS villagers are being urged to support the restoration of Chaffcombe War Memorial.
A whist drive has been arranged for Saturday, starting at 7.30pm in the village hall.
Entry is £2 which includes a cuppa and a biscuit. Prizes will be on offer and a raffle with proceeds going towards repairing the memorial.
Organiser Hillary Durrant said: “We have an event every quarter and this time we thought we’d try to raise enough money to repair the war memorial, so hopefully we can get a good amount.”
