Double-decker bus tips over onto its side in Brean

A spokesperson from First Bus said: "The driver was Ryan Murray and he's been a long term serving driver with us.
"The bus went into a ditch and the ditch collapsed under the weight of the bus. The bus has been secured with a cable.
"We are just co-operating with the emergency services to make sure the passengers are ok and the driver is ok.
"We will be carrying out our own investigation into how it happened."
A spokesperson from the police said: "At 12.53pm we were informed of a collision on the coast road in Berrow."
"A double decker bus has tipped over onto its side while going into a rhyne.
There were 17 people on board, the driver and 16 passengers. Two people have been injured, none of them seriously. They were taken to Weston Hopsital and Burnham Minor Injuries unit.
"The bus company has been has arranged for the bus to be collected."
Photographer Mike Lang, who was at the scene but turned away by a police blockade, said: "We saw at least six ambulances, four parademics cars and several police go by."

The bus crashed into the ditch at 1.25pm today and the people inside, including one elderly person, had to be helped out of the bus by emergency services.
A spokesperson from Devon and Somerset Fire Service said: "There is not believed to be any serious injuries."
"The road is shut and because there might have to be a collision investigation, it might be shut for a while."
