ROTARY clubs across Somerset have been working as volunteers to help flood victims.
Rotarians have been visiting homes and businesses in high risk areas, particularly in Sedgemoor, to offer information and reassurance.
The situation has since passed their capabilities with the worst hit areas now impassable to them so they are now planning for the clean-up operations once the floods subside.
A flood relief fund has been set up by District 1200 to assist those worst hit by the disaster.
Members of the public wishing to show their support can send cheques payable to ‘Rotary International, District 1200 Charity Account’ and post-marked ‘Flood Relief’ to Rory O’Donnell, Rotary International District 1200 Treasurer, Fulford House, Kingston St Mary, Taunton, Somerset, TA2 8AJ.
