Employers at risk as employees watch live TV at work

This is The West Country: Employees are watching live TV at work. Employees are watching live TV at work.

EMPLOYERS could be fined up to £1,000 if they don’t own a TV license and their employees are watching live TV programmes online.

Five of the top 20 live TV programmes on BBC iPlayer last year were televised during business hours, and those watching numbered more than 800,000.

In 2013, TV Licensing visited more than 80 businesses in Bridgwater to check they were correctly licensed.
